He is now the director of the French National Forestry Centre (CNPF) with 447 technicians and engineers spread throughout the territory to provide the members with free advice.
He also headed a forestry research and development institute within the CNPF.

He was previously the CNPF regional director in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

He earlier headed forestry cooperatives

And also worked in Gabon as an exotic timber buyer.
