Basque Soil Protection Estrategy responsible. Ihobe, Public Company for Environmental Management. Basque Government

Degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU).

After completing my training at the Wageningen Agricultural University (The Netherlands) and at GAIKER technology centre, I joined the IHOBE soil team, which at that time, in the early 1990s, was starting on the first contaminated land plan.

My work has since focused on the design and deployment of public instruments and policies initially focused on this field that has been recently expanded to the comprehensive protection of that resource, with the approval of the Basque Soil Protection Strategy 2030.
