Jon Ruiz de Infante

Jon Ruiz de Infante graduated in Organisms and Systems Biology from Barcelona University and has a Master’s Degree in Conservation Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is currently studying for a Degree in Environmental Sciences at the Spanish Open University (UNED). He has worked as a researcher at the Mediterranean Advances Studies Institute (IMEDEA) in population ecology. Jon has taken part in analysing and preparing the empty plot study of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz (Environmental Studies Centre, 2013) and Vitoria-Gasteiz Urban Green Infrastructure (Environmental Studies Centre, 2013). In 2022, he joined the Food Systems and Circularity Area of the Environmental Studies Centre where he works on developing the municipality’s Agrofood Strategy. Furthermore, he took part in the integration of soil as a carbon sink in the New Vitoria-Gasteiz Land Use Plan.
