Alberto Santana Ezkerra

Expert historian and ethnographer in Basque Culture

His area of research and academic specialisation is the comprehensive interpretation of the history of the Basque homestead. He is the author of dozens of publications on art, architecture, landscape and the history of the Basque Country. He teaches Medieval Art and History at the UNED-Bergara and has been Director of the Basque Studies Center at Boise State University (USA). He is the author and host of the television documentary series “Una Historia de Vasconia / Baskoniako Historia bat”, as well as other cultural documentary series. He is currently the Head of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia’s Cultural Heritage Service.
