Alexander Boto Bastegieta

General manager. Ihobe, Public Company for Environmental Management. Basque Government

He graduated in Economic Sciences from the University of the Basque Country and has a Master’s Degree in Regional and Urban Planning from the London School of Economics European Commission expert in the field of the environment and economic competitiveness.

He has been Director of Environment and Climate Change in the Basque Government. He has been working for more than 20 years at Ihobe, the Basque Government’s public environmental company, as head of environmental planning. He is currently the General Manager of Ihobe.

In his academic facet, he has taught postgraduate classes at various Universities on subjects such as: Agenda 2030, environmental innovation, circular economy and climate change.
