Guillermo Fernández Centeno

Guillermo Fernández Centeno is a forestry engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has a tenured post with the Corps of Forestry Engineers of the State He is currently working at the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge as a Technical Adviser, where he is coordinating the national forestry policy and forest hydrology areas of the General Subdirectorate for Forestry Policy and Combatting Desertification. His main tasks are to develop the Spanish Horizon 2050 Forestry Policy, the 2022-32 Spanish Forestry Plan, the emergency remediation works after major wildfires, and the National Soil Erosion Inventory (INES).
